You can only fly that jetpack for 30 minutes before you run out of fuel

Yes but 30 minutes at 60 mph is fairly good, you have a 30 mile range which would get you to work and back for many people.

It also uses normal petrol rather than Aviation fuel and those only last a maximum of 12 minutes.

Loving the comic, stumbled across this today

I imagine that flying into the propeller of a Cessna would sound something like sticking a chicken leg into a juicer.

Thanks for the link Portalis. Who knew? Well, besides you (8'p) Sucks that I'm too light to fly it, but I've kicked my @$$ at the gym for too long to gain that weight back!

I don't care about jet packs, so long as we have hover boards in 5 years

There have been jetpacks since the '60s, actually. The military experimented with them, but they were too noisy to be useful in the field.

The spelling 'licence' is more common in some countries.

The thing is, they DID make jetpacks. The problem is they turned out to kinda suck in real life.

What do you call it when an airplane puts things in a suitcase?

    Jetpacks.

Bug: Dear technology, I know a lot of folks are mad at you…
    —
Bug: … It’s almost 2010 and jetpacks are still nothing more than a pipedream.
    —
Bug: I for one, am quite pleased wit your inability to provide said jetpacks.
    —
Bug: If they existed I surely would have flown into the propeller of a cessna by now.
