Comic title runners up:
Sound off if you got a good fruit-themed Bond movie title.
Some fruits are pretty lethal to human though…
Quantum of Strawberries
Could’ve gone more apple-centered, for “The Man With the Golden Delicious Gun” or “GoldenDeliciousEye”.
“From Chiquita With Love”
“Kumquats of Solace”
Oh, you wanted GOOD fruit-themed Bond movie titles…
I came up with a lot of really bad puns, but these were my favorites:
Damsons are Forever
Lime and Let Die
A View to a Kumquat
License to Kiwi
Carmen Miranda Rights?
From Pomegranite with Love
On Her Majestey’s Secret Strawberry
Kumquat of Solace
On Her Majesty’s Secret Strawberry
I went to a very bad place with this one and now need mind bleach.
♦ Lime-cense to Kill
♦ On Her Mandarine’s Secret Service
I like Octopeachy.
Durian Another Day!
James Bond: Do you expect me to eat this fruit salad?
Auric Foodfinger: No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to DIET!
(where’s the Like Button, Adam?)
A while back I tried installing a plugin that allowed commenters to like (or dislike) comments. Darn thing just wouldn’t work right.
Hey, at least you tried. Thanks!
Two thumbs up!
♦ Cherry Royale
♦ The Watermelon Is Not Enough
♦ Tamarillo Never Dies
♦ The Living Date Plums
♦ From Russia With Cranberries
and if I may extend this to meats,
♦ License to Kielbasa
Tamarind Never Dies
Thunder Melon Ball
The Mango With the Golden Gun
Kumquat of Solace (all lists must include kumquat somewhere)
For Your Papayas Only
On Her Majesty’s Secret Pomegranate
Aaugh! Why didn’t I see The Mango With the Golden Gun?! That’s a great one.
I’d have gone with ‘The Man with the Golden Delicious’. You know, like the type of apple?
Fine, I’ll let myself out.
I was thinking the same thing. They are indeed delicious.

Man, Goldeneye is almost impossible to do that with.
Why not “You Only Peel Twice”?
Wedding Bells Today, Cantaloupe Tomorrow.
Also would’ve accepted, “I Artichoke Ya”.
Rofl, I’m not going to attempt such foolery today but thems some good ones!
The Man with the Golden Delicious
Man with the Molden Gun
You know, Adam, you could add a “I need…” feature to the website where you could solicit ideas for an upcoming strip. “I need variations of 007 movie titles using fruit puns.” If there are any true gems, they could appear in thath upcoming strip. Let some of your readers be “in” the strip in addition to commenting on it. Even if the ideas are all stinkers, it could be a fun diversion. Just a random thought…
Can I buy $5 worth of whatever you’ve been smoking?
Lychee to Kill
Quandong of Solace
Many of these are great and I won’t try to top them. I’m just surprised that it’s gone this long without anyone citing Monty Python’s “How to Defend Yourself Against Fresh Fruit”:
And ditto on Lance Thruster’s question, Adam, though I’m not usually into hallucinogens.
Never Say Nectarine Again
Date Another Day
This was done on Family Matters by Steve Urkle.
I LOL’d at the villain in third panel
Choose a globe you want to visitor upon and then click the actual “Guest” switch. GG http://www.google.com
Not too fruity,
The Man with the Golden Bun
‘Kay folks, how about some fanfic to go with those titles?
