      Damn true!

I rather pay for education via taxes granting that everyone can have one.

And if my English sucks, because I got it for free, then excuse me, plz ;o)))

(Still guess your Danish wouldn't be a hit either ;o))))

Oh how I wish we here in the states would adopt the education and healthcare "socialism" the majority of the rest of the free world employs. Seriously! I'd rather pay for it in taxes then have the 28000$ hospital debt and the 49000$ education debt I currently have.

This is what your sentence should have looked like: Then it is nice to live in Denmark, where everybody is able to get an education as it is absolutely free.

Notice there is no capital "W" after a comma and no need for a period after education.

I would expect you to know these things though with your free education and all.

    @MikeG

Considering he is from Denmark, English is likely not his first language. So a spelling mistake and some grammatical errors in what is likely Thomas' second, or possibly third language is actually pretty outstanding. Also, just for fun: find the missing comma in your own post, then find all the other errors people have posted… seriously, the nit-picking is quite tiresome (even mine).

Seriously? Everyone criticizing Thomas needs to chill the fuck out. You try learning English as your second (or maybe third) language and see how well you know our grammar rules. When y'all can speak AND write in more than one language fluently feel free to begin the criticisms.

Agreed. Even with English as my FIRST language, I've never quite gotten the hang of some of the intricacies of grammar (like who/whom). I actually do better, grammar wise, in my second language (spanish). Though it may have something to do with going to public school… (only partially kidding; some of the best and worst teachers I have ever had worked there, and there are some things that aren't in the curriculum that you learn in public school that you wouldn't necessarily learn in private school)

I'm making this comment 'cause I think it'll help you with that one grammar issue, but I agree with the rest of your comment, too.

When you're deciding between "who" and "whom," reword the sentence using "he" or "him." If "he" makes sense or at least sounds right, then use "who," and "him" for "whom." That's one of the best English tricks I've learned on the internet. ex. Who/Whom is going to the party? ("Him is going to the party" wouldn't make sense here, so it's "who.")

You guys do realize that English would be his second language? How many Americans can say that they know another language fluently enough to be able to comment on boards like these? And I mean Americans who weren't born in a different country or who's parents speak Spanish. When you guys learn Danish, or say, Russian or German or Chinese, then you can gang up on him.

    Anyway, great strip! hahaha

I´d love to get into the discussion, since I am from Mexico, where the best university in the country is public and students only got to pay nearly 2 cents of a dollar per year (no kidding: it is obviously a symbolic payment), but I don´t seem to be able to visualize the image of the comic in my browser. Any suggestions, please?

Ah! Apparently, Adam wanted me to actually get into the discussion, 'cause the moment I submitted my comment, I was able to see the strip, which is great, by the way!

Although we don´t feel very identified with this kind of robbery, we do suffer from equally sophisticated muggers, say, mobile-phones-service or internet providers…

96'000 for a two year course. No wonder I was told

To stay at home for education. Luckily, If I get into uni in september

I miss the £9,000 per year fee, until I opt to do my PCGE.

So all in all, by the time I leave uni, I will be a qualified teacher

But in £19,500 worth of debt. But hey, this is my future

And its not going to be as much as some poor people

    :/
