YEAH!! I totally agree with this, and have been saying it for years! What's really frustrating is when you KNOW they were a no-good, throw-rocks-at-kittens kind of person, and then YOU have to create a fluffy, flowery, saintly eulogy for the person!!!!
My ex-boyfriend and his friends are in a pact, for whoever dies first, the others have to go to his funeral, go up on stage and say "-Namehere-… what a cunt."

There's an entire black comedy movie based on this concept called "World's Greatest Dad". It stars Robin Williams, and is actually a pretty good movie…though disturbing enough that I only wanted to watch it once.
I think I'll put it in my will that people have to insult me at my funeral, and that the one who has the funniest insult, as judged by my backup machine consciousness, will be the receiver of the greatest cut of my fortune.
Or whatever is left of it after the whole thing with the backup consciousness.

I want to have what they had in the Ender series of books. A Speaker for the Dead. After you die they investigate your entire life, nothing is kept secret from them. Then at your funeral they tell it all to everyone. Nothing is left out, they do not emphasize your good or bad deeds, they just tell it like it is.
Of course, being on TV, the skit ended up causing every easily offended person in the country to flood every form of media with complaints for the next fortnight.
