Actually, wife-beater only refers to the white tank-top-like undershirt. Tank tops are still called that.

To clarify: Tank tops got the nickname "wife beaters" from COPS, because husbands arrested for beating their wives were usually seen wearing them.

My cousin and I almost died laughing at the "rape scarf". And if we ever see THAT one catching on…well, that's the point where I do the honorable thing and and put a sword through my heart.
