XD, awesome as usual. Also, my first first comment!
Nobody here cares about ‘first’.
You should do something about your inability to understand simple sentences.
Perhaps you should read it again.
Welcome aboard Faytl. Panel 2 makes me wonder if I ate my twin, because I was a solo birth weighing in at 8 pounds and a bit..
Actually I wonder if every pregnancy starts out with 8-10 babies and whether we end up coming out solo or as twins or triplets depends on how fast we chew through our siblings?
Fetal Hunger Games, anyone?
Words cannot describe the epicness of this comment right here. *points to Jia*
I must have been a set of triplets originally – I came out at 10lbs, 7oz. I was one fat-ass baby.
I’m pretty sure I just killed my twin…
Second and last pannel made me LoL.
It has been a long time since I visit this webcomic.
But when I read “Fetus Thunderdome” I know you never lost your touch. Thanks for the good laugh.
Now it’s time for archive binge!
Long time lurker, first time poster: The logic in the 3rd panel seems off in reference to the first. I feel that it should be, “If you _don’t_ keep your mouth shut” but then that does not flow as well. (If she does keep her mouth shut about twins then how is anyone going to know she will need two of each thing?)
Or just change “will get” to “won’t get”
I think it means that if you don’t tell folks that one of the twins has absorbed/eaten/won-the-Thunderdome challenge, then you’ll get twice as many presents.
I was thrown off a bit too (because of the way that the first panel begins), but when I read panel 4 I realized what was meant by #3.
Ah, thank you, Deen! Now I get the third Panel!
But the comic is great, anyways. ^^
Princess Luna: The fun has been doubled!!
… obviously she is, keeping quiet about the fratricide, but we started out with her telling everyone.
Agreed. It’s a little clunky. Probably could of left out the “keep your mouth shut” line all together.
She told everyone she was having twins. Because she keeps quiet about the fratricide, everybody still thinks she’s having twins. So she gets twice as many baby shower gifts–one for each baby, including the now-absorbed one that no longer exists.
Makes perfect sense to me.
I never imagined that I would be reading a cartoon about chimerism, let alone laughing at it!
Fetus Thunderdome may be one of the best lines EVER! I can see a book series written by Stephanie Mayer…oh, nevermind. It would be full of whiny, shiny teenagers and she’d ruin it.
Fetus Thunderdome is genius, dude!
“There Can Be Only ONE”
I love it
I wonder how it feels to have some weird tissue in your body and be told it was a twin you’d absorbed…. It does happen.
Cannibal craddle is so metal
Sounds like a good name for a thrash metal band.
Foetus Thunderdome FTW !
its cannibal corpses next album >,<
I don’t know about this strip. Sure, I can see the humor, but there’s a disconerting feeling of “Dude, not funny” that isn’t really balanced out by the humor. Is it just me on this?
Oh lighten up, you realize that Bug comic used to use these kind of jokes and you complained now?
If you really want comic that won’t offend everyone go back reading Garfield.
Yes, I realize this humor is used often, and I’d like to restate that I’m not the one offended – it’s just that I thought that this one’s “funny:edgy” ratio was cutting it a tad close.
And Garfield? Dear Lord, man, I expressed distate, not murder! That’s a fate worse than death!
Don’t fret. Tomorrow’s strip is about bananas.
Laughed my bum off at the second panel! XD
Leave it to Glasses-Bug to be casually blunt about the situation.
“Fetus Thunderdome” sounds like the name of the next pro-life operation…
Or a great name for a punk band.
