I simply had to freeze some hummus on a spoon after reading this. I don't reccomend it.

do you used photoshop to resize them for the web? or do you let comicpress do the resizing? you should size them down in photoshop– who knows how the web will compress your images. over at honey and the whirlwind, we had an issue and i had kings make sure he makes his comics max width 550px and uses the "optomize for web, rgb" in the save for web area in photoshop & its all working honey dorky now. the pixel width will depend on the layout for comicpress– they also have a good help forum there you should check out.

but I can't get the quality to be good at all.

I work at a PBS station – we laugh at farts, eat ribs hate jazz, and always make fun of Ken Burns' hairdo. Then again I DO work in the web department.
