I have the same problem with my pants! Not just my dress slacks though, even my jeans. Apparently I have thighs made of sandpaper.

The sweat from your crotch is extremely acidic. Solutions:

    1) Dust yourself in lime

    2) Scotch guard your undies

    3) Buy pants more often/sweat less

That happens to me too… my excuse is that no fabric can stand being in such close proximity to such an awesome source of power.

I've never had this problem, but then again I never keep pants for more than a year or so. I've got a pair of jeans right now I've had for three years, and it's worn out as holy hell, but the crotch is still intact (and the villagers rejoiced).

Hah, the crotch busted out on my work jeans. I'm too lazy to patch em up and too cheap to buy new ones, so I just have to remember that there's a hole there before I squat down or sit with my legs open.

Erm… if you bike a lot in those pants, they can wear out quickly. I learnt it the hard way :(
